Lunch Special by EarthVStheDerek Lunch Special by EarthVStheDerek
A Milo-centric comic. I feel he needs the spotlight once in awhile.

I guess Milo's kinda like Rain Man, huh?

Even the sentient piece of food on her fork thinks he's nuts. =D

Maybe one of his carrots will become sentient and walk a away. :XD: Who's the cook? Dr. Frankenstein? :giggle:

Well if they hear: "IT'S ALIVE! IT'S ALIIIIIIVE! IT'S ALIVE, IT'S ALIVE, IT'S ALIVE, IT'S ALIVE!!!!" From the kitchen, they should consider packing a lunch. :XD:

I'm actually looking for an excuse to use him again. Maybe his own spinoff series?

Hey, a school cafeteria is a dark and colorful world, as evidenced by this script!

At my childhood I used to feel the same as Zoe, mainly regarding... any kind of meal that looked like an interplanetary mud monster from a class B sci-fi movie, or something. :bleh:
And I've already heard of Milo's problem. There are really people who get worried about a certain number of cookies or French fries they have, for example. :?
Very fun at the end. :D

I've been there, myself. I like your "interplanetary mud monster" description. Very fitting.

Milo is mildly autistic, and that's probably where the numbers thing comes from. He's very close to me, personality-wise. His carrot problem is actually a bad habit of mine that I'm trying to break.

Thanks.

Hahaha, great job making all three panels have something interesting and funny to look at. Zoe's munching expression in the first with the poster gave me a chuckle, the second with the sentient morsel was great, and the punch line panel worked as well. Keep up the great and very solid work! :)

This school is not safe for OCD people. At least the food isn't too bad, they are not hurting anyone (by their feelings).

It's probably an OCD nightmare. Like most things. But, if the food is a thinking, feeling lifeform, that's ample reason not to eat it.

If that happened in real life, we could end up referring to a psyche ward and I don't mean those with OCD and odd numbers.

The school would probably be condemned, except for hazmat and government scientists, if it had sentient food.

He is indeed a bit odd.

Nice work here, I also had horrible school dinners, which was why I also stuck with packed lunches.

As someone who's eaten the school-issued dreck, let me just say that the trope is partially based in reality.

Did you know that the Norwegian word for milk is in fact melk?

I agree that a talking lunch wins out. Thanks a lot.

Interesting tidbit. Maybe that's where people in my state got the term from, Norwegian immigrants and all that.
